Our students know they're going to college. We can help them get there.

At Achievement First, we are proud to run high-quality, college-prep, K-12 public charter schools in New Haven, Bridgeport and Hartford, Connecticut; Brooklyn, New York; and Providence, Rhode Island. All students are admitted by blind lottery. There are no admissions requirements, interviews or fees. Achievement First serves all students, including students with disabilities and English Language Learners.

Our mission is to provide the highest-quality education for all children, to recognize their passions, goals and challenges and to work tirelessly to make sure their dreams are realized.

Once you choose an Achievement First school, your child’s success will be at the center of everything we do. We’d be excited to join you and your child on the path to college graduation. Testimonials

“Attending Achievement First pretty much changed my life. Before I came here, I was a mediocre student. Now, I’m on the Dean’s List and I am on my way to Bowdoin College. I’m an African-American male from the North End of Hartford and I am going to a prestigious institution. I am doing what a lot of people thought I wouldn’t be able to do” - Ahjani, Student

“This school has done so much for my children. They understand how to carry on a conversation about everything from current events to Greek mythology. Their vocabulary is amazing. I am most proud when I see my children talking to their friends about college and about their plans for the future. If a friend from another school says she is being late to class or getting poor grades, Tatianna will say, ‘Is that grade good enough for you? What are your goals?'’’ - Lissette, Parent
