Riley Bauling is the principal of Achievement First Bushwick Middle School. Mr. Bauling has been with the school since 2010, previously holding positions as an academic dean and teacher. Prior to teaching and leading at AF Bushwick, he worked as an education consultant helping design evaluations to determine program effectiveness for organizations like Teach For America and The After-School Corporation. Before coming to New York, Mr. Bauling ran literacy tutoring programs in Washington State and worked as a journalist and policy analyst in Albuquerque, N.M. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico and holds master’s degrees in public finance from New York University and education from Hunter College.
