Amanda Hageman is the founding principal of Achievement First Linden Elementary. Ms. Hageman began her career in education after graduating with honors from American University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and social studies education. She taught first grade at Roosevelt Elementary in the Houston Independent School District before spending several years working for Teach For America. At Teach For America, she trained and coached more than 200 new teachers and coaches working in pre-kindergarten through 12th grades. Ms. Hageman completed her administrative residency with KIPP SHINE Prep, KIPP’s flagship elementary school in Houston, Texas. She served as the principal-in-residence at Achievement First Endeavor Elementary, where she bolstered the school’s academic performance and culture in kindergarten and throughout the school. Ms. Hageman earned her master’s degree in school leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University.
