Our school is near the 3 train (New Lots Ave.), A/C train (Euclid Ave.) & B14 and B15 bus line stops.

Bus transportation is provided to all students from .5 miles to 5 miles. Families may also utilize a paid van service or request MetroCards to be used weekdays before and after school.

    Rochelle Murray

    Rochelle Murray is the founding principal of AF Linden Middle. Prior to this role, Ms. Murray served at AF East New York Middle as the academic dean for math, where she led her team to raise the math achievement proficiency from 51% (in 2015) to 76% (in 2017). Before joining Achievement First, she was the founding content lead and teacher at UP Academy Boston. Her track record of results in Boston earned her recognition as a 2013 regional finalist for the Teach For America Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 2012 Sontag Prize in Urban Education.

    Ms. Murray began her career in education as a sixth grade math teacher with Miami-Dade County Public Schools in Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Boston University, master’s degree in education and social change from University of Miami, and holds a master’s in instructional leadership from Relay Graduate School of Education. With over a decade of experience in public, in-district charter, and the charter school sectors, Ms. Murray’s passion for learning and her commitment to leading others through excellence continues to fuel her desire to overcome ongoing challenges and to create transformational changes in the urban education sector.
