Roseann Basile is the principal of Amistad Academy Middle School. Ms. Basile previously served as the principal of AF Crown Heights Elementary. Prior to that role, she was the school’s dean of special services, and academic dean for third and fourth grades and dean of students. In 2014-2015, she executed the expansion of the Teacher-in-Residence Program at AF Crown Heights Elementary and developed a blueprint for the program structure that has been adopted by other AF elementary schools. Ms. Basile joined Achievement First as a behavior specialist in 2013. She began teaching in 2008 as a Teach For America corps member in Philadelphia. Ms. Basile received her bachelor’s degree in English from New York University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated with highest honors.
