School Leader

Sorbrique Grant is the principal of Achievement First Hartford Academy Middle. Prior to Achievement First, Ms. Grant served as a teacher in New York City and worked on the Teach For America staff in various roles at institutes and at Citizen Schools. She previously served as Achievement First's director of principal preparation, where she worked extensively with the next generation of leaders at Achievement First. Ms. Grant attended Cornell University, the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Pace University. She was named one of the 25 Most Influential Cornellians and was a Cornell Traditions Scholar. Ms. Grant is also the recipient of the Barbara Jordan Award for Women’s Leadership, the From Harvard to the Oval Office Fellowship and the John F. Kennedy Award.
